Another record leap at Vesey’s as % A/B grades rise by 11%

Outstanding Value Added scores and tremendous levels of attainment have been recorded this year with an overall pass rate at A Level of 99.5% and with 79% of entries at A/B grade. A Level students have raised the academic bar to a record level which places Bishop Vesey’s amongst the top schools in the country. 37 students gained 3 A Grades or better with a further 38 gaining 2 A Grades. Andrew Marlow, Jamie Sage and Chris Whitehouse all scored 5 A Grades. Head of School James Phillips, and his Deputy Ciaran Davis both with 4 A Grades, head off to Oxbridge along with six other successful students.

‘Our A Level students this year deserve our sincere congratulations on some tremendous personal achievements and on leaving a legacy of academic distinction which now places Bishop Vesey’s GS amongst the foremost academic schools in the country. An outstanding 98% of all students achieved positive value-added scores. These results, representing a major whole school achievement, have arisen from the drive and determination of our engaged and ambitious students, working closely with our hardworking and talented staff.’
