Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is a voluntary aided, selective state grammar school which is located in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, serving day students across the city and beyond. Boys aged 11-18 and girls aged 16-18 make up the 914 students of which 295 are in our Sixth Form.
We are a Specialist Language College, Training School and Sport England ‘Sportsmark Gold’ centre of excellence, which illustrates the aim of the school to produce well balanced mature students to embark on their life after school.
The Vesey Foundation, launched in 2008, will provide much needed extra funding for Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School.
From major projects such as ‘Middle Field’ our all weather artificial pitch, to providing new basic equipment for our science departments.
In addition to major capital projects it will also fund revenue expenditures to enhance the ability of the school to provide for all the needs and demands of a superior education.
There will be no limit to the aspirations and ambitions of those involved.

To become a ‘Friend of the Foundation’ you can help by:
• a regular monthly gift,
• a one-off gift aided donation
• sponsorship of any aspect of the academic life of the school,
• any extra curricular activities
or even an introduction to an interested party in the corporate world.
The Annual Fund is the medium that will provide some of these extra facilities within Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School.
Throughout the year the fund will have various projects that will undoubtedly be of interest to you whilst the Foundation itself is the Endowment Fund to embrace all major projects, some of which will takeseveral years to come to fruition.
It is not the level of generosity that is the key to annual giving, but participation. A gift can be a single one-off payment or spread over several months by monthly standing order payments. If a donation is made through Gift Aid, then it increases the value of your gift by 25% and higher rate tax payers can benefit further by claiming tax back.
We already receive invaluable support from a wide range of the Vesey community. Our role now is to encourage further support for our ambitious developments, be it through students,staff, parents, governors, Old Veseyans and friends of the school.
